Location, location, location

At the heart of our RP is the need to keep it fresh and to try and avoid the rut.

One of the most important and fairest aspects of RP as a regular Social Gathering is that no one person or location becomes the default. We are spread over Auckland and as such we need to balance our various life and work commitments to a timetable as well as have something against which we can plan.

Therefore, the following fortnightly schedule is proposed:

  • 9 March – Simon’s
  • 23 March – Nigel’s
  • 6 April – Pete’s
  • 4 May – Greg’s (TBC)
  • 18 May – Marcus’
  • 1 June – Grant’s
  • End of first rotation

At the end of the rotation, we can reassess whether we wish to continue with Wild Cards or embark on a different venture and GM or someone else may decide they wish to pick up the reins and continue so that the duty of GM is shared.

  1. Note that the 20th of April is Easter and thus a long weekend. This could cause other social factors to intrude on the plans of Order.
Secondly, I understand that Mr Gibbs may be moving to his own place in time to come, so we can add another place to the rotation if that’s agreeable.

  2. Fair enough; the 20 April session will move to 4 May. Also, with Greg about to shift into his new place, we will have a further location to add to the roster once he is sorted.

    The remaining revamped roster therefore:

    20 April – Pete’s
    4 May – Marcus’
    18 May – Grant’s
    1 June – Greg’s

This will take us up until just before Geekend so a good time to bring everything to a temporary hiatus and review.

  3. Note that the session at my place was the 6th of April, the 20th is the one we’re missing. Greg has put forward his home for the 4th of May, however this is dependent on familial factors and he will advise. If it does go ahead, presumably Marcus and Grant will move up the list by one.

  4. Agreed – I meant to update this last week – changes now reflect the proposed new schedule with Greg to confirm the availability of his home closer to time. If i do not see you until next session – have a Happy Easter.
